I read this under an alternative title "Amiable Renegade". A highly entertaining memoir, not just for the military detail, but in general as a great slice of l8th Century life. The combination of a veneer of civility (superior in many ways to our own) over what were often riotous and brutal times never ceases to fascinate me. Recommended.
